The End Is Near

“And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain.”* Yes, the end of a long, yet seemingly short year approaches. A year filled with angst, disappointment, provocation, sickness, death, isolation, heartache, strife; running parallel with joy, bonding, and a sense of coming together in love, belief and hope. Can anyone honestly say this has been nothing shy of a tumultuous roller coaster ride?

We have weathered many storms and while many storms continue to test us, we have persevered and stand united with a powerful undertone of camaraderie and love. I do believe we will continue to persevere and share our faith, our support and our love for one another.

Many of us have needlessly and otherwise lost loved ones over this past year. The level of grief runs deep and is extremely overwhelming. The heavens and souls which dwell within have been inundated. Our loved ones in spirit have been doing their best to welcome and integrate those who have been entering the kingdom in droves.

Although experiences of the past year have challenged our balance, our senses and our faith they have been replete with lessons for all humankind, for those who have chosen to learn. People have come together in unprecedented fashion to help out those less fortunate. Because of our innate ability to connect, care and come together we have figured out ways to be present for one another while maintaining a physical distance. We have not given up our indefatigable hope or unrelenting desire to lend a helping hand.

We may crave physical contact and miss many of the benefits of our pre-pandemic lifestyle, meanwhile our creative juices overflow as we discover alternative solutions to each and every challenge we encounter.

The human soul is resilient, whether housed within a physical vessel or unencumbered as a free spirit. We have manifested light in the midst of immensely dark times. We have been pushed to our limits only to regroup and recalibrate. We have relearned how to love even deeper and stronger from a distance.

As this tumultuous year nears its end, I encourage you to take hope and stock in the resilient human spirit. Feel confident in and comforted by the knowing that better days will unfold.
Please go forth in that knowing. May you, too, feel the optimism and the ever abundant love that is accessible to all and put it to good use as you welcome the New Year.
